Senior Night Is A Success With Win over Adel 48 -37!
 
It was Senior Night on Friday, Feb. 13th, and five Seniors and their parents were honored between the Boys and Girls game. Seniors, Jordan Gronewold, Eboni Jones, Meagan Flaws, Morgan Spencer, Ashley Sheely and their parents were honored after the Girls game in which they defeated Adel DeSoto by the score of 48 - 37 , Jordan Gronewold led the Wildcats with 21 points, 10 rebounds, 8 steals and 4 assists, Morgan Spencer added 9 points and 6 rebounds, Seyerra Dubois scored 6 points, Meagan Flaws also had 6 points, Shaquita Jones addeed 3 points, Eboni Jones had 2 and Natalie Blonigan scored one point. The Wildcats out rebounded Adel 30 to 27, and only committed 12 turnovers " It was a nice win for our Seniors, they have been an important part of the success of the Girls Basketball Program the past for years and I`m very proud of these girls". The Girls improve to 12 - 8 overall.
 
 
Carlisle Girls Finish Regular Season With Win Over Boone 63 - 47, Gronewold Scores School record 35!
 
The Carlisle Girls Basketball Team won its 13th game of the season with a victory over the Boone Torredors , 63 - 47 on Saturday, Feb 13th. The girls avenged an earlier loss to the Torredors when they were defeated by Boone 8 days ago 61 - 57. Jordan Gronewold had an amazing game recording a school record 35 points , she went 13 of 13 from the free throw line , 11 of 11 from 2 point range, which are school records as well, Gronewold also had 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals, she only missed one shot and that was a three points attempt. Senior, Meagan Flaws scored 15 points, playing her best game of the season, Shaquita Jones scored 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, Morgan Spencer had 6 rebounds and 4 assists, Seyerra Dubois added 3 points, Shelby Curtis and Jessica Stocker each had 2 points apiece, Laura Bittner and Shelbi Cooper had one point to round out the scoring. "We shot the ball extremely well, Jordan was amazing, only missing one shot, she was very unselfish dishing out 5 assists to go along with her record breaking night" Carlisle ends the regular season with 13 wins and 8 losses. they finish at 8 -8 ini Conference play finishing 4th place behind Ballard, DCG, and Carroll.

 

Wildcats Get Revenge Over Winterset In District Play 44 to 38!
 
On Wednesday, Feb 17th the Carlisle Girls Basketball team played host to the Winterset Huskies in the first round of Regional play at Carlisle, the Wildcats trailed Winterset for the first three quarters, until the 7 :00 minute mark of the 4th quarter, Senior, Meagan Flaws made three straight three point field goals for the Wildcats to take a 4 point lead with 5:00 minutes remaining , Sophomore, Seyerra Dubois answered with her first three point field goal of the season, which gave the Wildcats a seven point lead, Senior, Jordan Gronewold  made three free throws in the final minutes to secure the win . The Wildcats avenged an earlier loss to the Huskies one week ago  where Winterset defeated Carlisle 51 -32. Jordan Gronewold led all scorers with 20 points, she also grabbed 11 rebounds, Meagan Flaws scored 15 points including 5 three point field goals, Morgan Spencer added 4 points and 5 rebounds, Seyerra Dubois scored 3 points and dished out 4 assists and had 5 rebounds, Shaquita Jones played quite well scoring 2 points and grabbing 6 rebounds.  “ This was an awesome team effort, I thought our defense was super, and we only turned the ball over 7 times, opposed to 19 times last time we played them, Meagan hit some key shots to start the 4th quarter, I thought Seyerra Dubois, Eboni Jones, Jessica Stocker, and Meagan Flaws played extremely well on defense, holding Winterset’s top scorers under their averages”  The Wildcats will advance in Regional play on Saturday , Feb. 20th,  they will travel to Grimes to take on 7th ranked DCG @ 7:00, the girls improve to 14 -8 for the season.
