Southpaws Nate Stickley and Chance Becker each pitched complete games to lead the Cats over Nevada by the scores of 9-0 and 5-3. Carlisle struck first in the opener with six quick runs in the top of the first inning as Nevada struggled to make plays defensively. Offensively we were led by David Reid and Daniel Gramowski who both went 2-3 from the plate. Zach Abdulrahim and Nate Stickley both drove in two runs while Joey Ermler, Dallas Loney, and Daniel Hupke each stroked doubles. Stickley got his first start on the bump this year after three appearances in relief. He allowed five hits, struck out four, and walked only one batter in his complete game shutout.
Becker led the Cats from the plate and the mound in game two as he finished 2-2 with two rbi`s. He also threw a complete game giving up only thre runs on 5 hits while striking out seven in his first pitching appearance of the young season. Grant Davis also went 2-2 with two rbi`s. Also collecting hits in game two were Reid, Stickley, and Daniel Schwartz.
